Since its first inception in July 2000, this official web site for the Plant FHG has been authored and maintained by:-

Between 2012 and 2022, Prof Richard Plant was a contact for the y-DNA project, for the spellings Plant and Plante for example, for which the latter occurs mainly in North America and France. He also contributed computer simulations as well as computer generated diagrams and co-authored several relevant papers with JSP.

This is now suspended with discussion diverted to the above Plant Facebook group alongside updates of this website (in which copies of past journals for example are available).

In 1990, Keith founded the Plant Family History Group and, until 2007, he maintained paid-up membership lists and produced paper-based copies of the Journal. He was accordingly designated Honorary Life President of the Group until his death at the start of June 2021:

Between 2010 and 2014, a designated Journal Chairman collected a membership fee (10 pounds per annum) for two issues each year of a Series 2 of the Journal, on one occasion with a supplement:
